Interventions in the Elementary Mathematics Classroom-When, Why, What and How” What is an Intervention versus a modification, scaffold, or strategy? How can classroom teachers support all learners? In this day long course teachers, specialists, and leaders learn about current research, best practice, and practical tools to teach for understanding for every learner.

“Building Procedural Fluency from Conceptual Understanding with Multiplication and Division” In this course participants will engage in hands on activities that support the progression and understanding of multiplication and division. Teachers will leave with a deeper understanding of the concepts as well as having ideas and activities that can be immediately implemented in the classroom.

“Building Procedural Fluency from Conceptual Understanding with Fractions”  Called the “gatekeeper to algebra” fraction and fractional understanding is imperative for our teachers and our students. Teachers will walk through what a fraction is, the learning progression of fractions by grade level and the best ways to teach fractions and the 4 operations with fractions to our students.

“Building Procedural Fluency from Conceptual Understanding with Addition and Subtraction” Teachers will enjoy a day filled with hands on activities that highlight the developmental progression of addition and subtraction while building their own toolkit of teaching strategies and understanding around these operations.
